Here’s How It Works…

Discovery & Design

Project Kickoff

RPC leadership meets with the client team & product owner to review the business case for the product and establish formal communication channels. Both sides should leave the kickoff phase with a clear picture of next steps and overall goals.

Discovery

RPC will take a deep dive into your brand and business objectives and match those with the best technologies for an effective development strategy.

Features & Functions

In this phase we’ll flesh out the product itself, from general user experience to establishing specific use cases and workflows.

Architecture

Based on the information above, the RPC team will create wireframes and mockups to demonstrate the product’s functionality, workflow and appearance - including responsive layouts and navigational systems.

Creative Concepts

In this phase the RPC creative team will work with the product owner to work through a few different design concepts and decide on a concrete aesthetic direction for the product. This initial design concept will be expanded and refined in the steps below.

Feature Sprints

Design Sprint

Here we’ll put into practice the design concepts agreed to in the previous sprints. During this phase, we’ll be in regular contact with your team regarding progress, actively asking questions about your vision for the product, implementing them and reviewing with your team before moving into final development.

Development Sprint

Using agile methodology, we’ll break the product down into development sprints based on feature sets. In this way, we’ll break the final product down into its core components and build out those components through a series of sprints. The complexity of the final product will ultimately determine the number of Development Sprints needed.

QA Sprint

Once a Development Sprint is completed, that work will be tested by the Quality Assurance team to ensure that new functionality is bug-free and implemented correctly.

Post Sprints

Beta Build

After the feature has passed QA verification, it’s ready to move on to payload testing and final verification. Here we’ll work to make the feature as “real-world-proof” as possible and ensure stable performance for all intended users.

Final Development

In this phase our team will fix any remaining bugs and optimize all functionality in preparation for final release. Features exiting this stage will be ready to deploy to production.

Release Candidate

Before final release, all parties will convene for a final approval of the build. Once agreed, the final build will be pushed to production servers or submitted to an app store.

Final QA

Any issues discovered during the final release will be triaged and repaired here and the product will be prepped for market launch.

Leadership

Richard Panter

Richard Panter is the Founder and CEO of RightPlace Consulting (RPC). Richard started his technology career by recruiting and building software and data science teams for many tech companies, from Fortune 500s to startups, here in Austin, TX. He specializes in building and managing software development teams and creating partnerships with companies that need support from high performance teams. Richard is now primarily responsible for software delivery processes, business/tech analysis, resource acquisition, agile project management, and managing RPC’s business.

He has been fortunate to have experiences supporting exciting work streams for many customers including, but not limited to, Daimler, Mercedes, Car2Go, and Southwest Airlines. His strengths include dynamic interpersonal and leadership skills, innovative problem solving and excellent communication skills, with extensive team building and successful delivery of enterprise software projects.

Zach Arrington

Zach Arrington is the COO of RPC. After a 10 year career in Finance as an Analyst, OSJ and Operations Director for independent wealth management firms and broker-dealers, Zach made the transition to Tech where he specialized in leading on-shore and offshore development teams to create cutting edge products across multiple verticals. Zach’s expertise and passion for client success doesn’t end with the delivery of a product - he has served as lead architect for several international Digital Marketing campaigns, all while serving as the product owner and development lead for FieldWatch, which became the world’s #1 application for Digital Marketing Compliance for direct sellers during his 5 years as the product’s owner.

At RightPlace Consulting, Zach’s tech, finance and marketing backgrounds allow him to deeply understand clients’ business goals and help them create efficient and scalable technical solutions to accomplish those goals, both during and after the development process.
